An early 19th century 8-day longcase clock, 13inch square painted dial with date and seconds indication, floral decoration to the corners, Arabic numerals, matched hands, the dial signed for Parr, Liverpool, the case having inlaid decoration, swan-necked pediment, quarter-reeded columns to the trunk, brass paterae (with thistles), bell striking movement mounted to a false-plate cast with Walker & Hughes, with pendulum and weights. (Loomes lists a John 1805-1834) and James (1813) Parr in Liverpool, both of whom are contemporary for this clock) - Estimate 300 to 500 This lot MUST be paid for and collected, or delivery arranged, no later than close of business on Tuesday.
