A rare and unusual early 19th century French figurine clock, the case of domed top architectural form in Belgian black marble, cast and gilded classical mounts, featuring a gilded figurine of a loosely clad female holding up her shawl to obscure most of the dial, annular chapter ring silk suspension movement, unsigned, bell striking, 51cm tall, with pendulum and key, the back door is of metal construction, approx weight 17kgs Condition: generally untouched and dusty, back door hinges need attention, some crazing/ cracks to chapter ring, very minor chips to base and one corner, ticking condition, figurine probably bronze but cannot look underneath or remove to confirm Please note we have more pictures of this clock on our Saleroom catalogue
