An impressive late 19th century Egyptian revival French black slate mantel clock with pendulum and key, the case of square form raised on a trapezoid plinth with incised and coloured decoration, surmounted by a cast figure of the sphinx (possibly bronze), large enamel two piece white dial with Roman numerals, French moon hands, visible escapement to the centre, the movement having hour and half past bell strike retailer and Vincenti makers stamps to backplate.
