Japanese sword - adapted from a campaign officer's sword ca 1939-45 in occupied territory by local smiths to replace war damaged swords and also carried by collaborating local forces (paper tag marked with Bill Tagg and date), length of curved blade 69 cm, overall length incl grip 96 cm, with leather sheath. Leather wrapped scabbard has several scrapes and nicks to the surface, blade and scabbard appear straight, blade tip flattened slightly at the point, blade edge approximately 68 cm and scabbard 77 cm (l). Shipping for this lot would be £14 plus VAT with a £9 surcharge due to length of package being over 100 cm.
