A military dress sword (1845 pattern) marked to the blade '' Volunteer rifles. Thomas Fairrie Esquire. With hilt marked to the ricasso Mander and Allender Liverpool. Some of the original hanger are in place, approximately 98 cm total length and 83 cm blade length and 2.6 cm wide at the ricasso, 84 cm scabbard. Condition Report: There are several dents to the scabbard, the largest approximately 8mm diameter, the scabbard appears to have a very slight bend. The blade tip is bent approximately 1 cm from the tip, there is a bend to the body of the blade starting approximately half way up. No apparent looseness to the guard, pommel or grip wires
