After Antoine Ignace Melling (b.1763 - 1831) - an early print from Le Voyage Pittoresque De Constantinople Et Des Rives Du Bosphore entitled Interieur Dun Cafe Public, Sur La Place De Top-Hane, from a series of thirty four plates in a two part volume, numbered 26, mounted and framed under glass, image size approx 40cm x 64cm. A.I. Melling travelled the Levant and stayed for several years in Constantinople. There he met the sister of the Sultan, Sultane Hadidge and was engaged to renovate her palace at Ortkoy.
