Packing and Shipping

Our target is to provide an efficient, professional and express shipping service at reasonable cost to all of our clients.

We achieve this by taking payments and packaging lots in-house immediately after each auction with the minimum delay.

Client Services Department

Our Client Services Department (Telephone 01928 579796) will send you an invoice by email following the auction which will include packing and shipping costs (if required) and payment should be completed within 48 hours of receipt. The goods will then be despatched without delay.

Absentee Bidders

Payment by Absentee Bidders may be made by Electronic Transfer or BACS or Debit Card or Credit Card. In the case of clients placing absentee bids via a third party internet facility payments are normally taken from the registered debit or credit card via the-saleroom GAP payment request system explained in an email accompanying your invoice.

Please pay for your lots promptly as late payment will inevitably result in delayed delivery. Details of non-payers are shared with other auction houses and live internet bidding sites.

Our shipping charges within the UK

With the exception of small packages, all shipping is undertaken by UPS. We do not normally use other courier services although some small packages may be shipped via Royal Mail.

For Packing and Shipping of very large items (eg furniture, dinner services, quantities of general lots), we are usually able to recommend a specialist door-to-door courier service at reasonable cost. Please ask for a quotation before bidding.

Our shipping charges worldwide

Please ask for a quotation before bidding. International Packages under 2kg with dimensions totalling less than 90cm are normally sent by Royal Mail.

Please note

All packages are delivered on a 'signed for' basis. Any insurance is provided by the courier or shipper and The Auction Centre accepts no liability for any loss or damage after the goods have been collected or delivered to the courier or shipper.

All prices are net of VAT
